🤔 actual hard things about entrepreneurship

entrepreneurship classes (like Next) tend to teach what they believe needs teaching and is teachable
- but, "blindspot" of avoiding the actually hard stuff because they don't know how to address it
examples:
- emotional resilience
  - being a founder, constants stress and crises and catastrophes
  - typical response:
    - don't really talk about it
    - mention it's a challenge, and say, "someone people can handle it", "are made for it, others aren't"
  - true opportunity
    - acknowledging it
    - trying to understand it
      - it's emotion management
    - considering options like:
      - mindfulness, zen

maintaining motivation / drive / believe / desire long-term
when to give up on an idea / course-of-action
crisis: what I want is not likely a good business
crisis: realizing I don't have the mindset / other characteristics of a "good entrepreneur", or, sufficient motivation
- ie. learning about oneself enough to realize the above

also tends to be a TON of post-hoc reasoning, selection bias
- "this decision was correct because it resulted in their survival"
